Last week I recommended The Four Agreements to someone. You’ve probably heard of it.

Ancient Toltec wisdom… Simple…Heavy.

Those of you who are part of the minority that haven't read it, here's what you should know about this small, yet potent book:

Agreement 1

Be impeccable with your word.

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Words cast spells so be careful about where you aim. Speak blessings, kindness, even if it's about yourself.

Agreement 2.

Don’t take anything personally.

What others do has nothing to do with you. Their rage, praise, cold shoulders. It’s their world, not yours. Move on.

Agreement 3.

Don’t make assumptions.

Ask questions. Get clear. Set crystal-clear expectations. Making things up in your head costs more than you think.

Agreement 4.

Always do your best.

Your best changes all the time. Do it anyway. In the gym. With your kids. In business. Leave it all there. If you got 70% today, output 70%. If you got 125% GET IT!

That's it... no fluff. Just four rules.

Feels like a cheat code.

Until next time,

Nick Kampouris
