There's something we get wrong about feeling old.
We treat it like a warning sign. Like the clock is working against us. But sit with this for a second.
“You're the wisest you've ever been and the youngest you'll ever be.”
Both things are true at the same time, right now, today. You have more perspective, more experience, more hard-earned clarity than any previous version of you. And you're also the youngest you'll ever be from this moment forward.
That's not a sad thing. That's actually the perfect starting point.
We spend so much time looking back at who we were at 22 thinking that was the peak. The energy, the possibilities, the open road. But we forget that version of us had no idea what we were doing. We were winging it constantly.
The person you are now? You know things. You've been through things. You've earned your perspective.
So yeah, feel old. Feel every bit of it. Because feeling old just means you've been stacking wisdom the whole time, and you're still young enough to use it.
THIS WEEK IN FATHERHOOD
My son is actually better at math than I was
I don't know when it happened exactly, but it happened.
We were sitting at the table doing homework and he just… got it. Faster than I would have. In just second grade he’s understanding concepts I didn’t apply till a couple years after. And my first instinct was this weird mix of pride and something I wasn't expecting…humility.
Your kid surpassing you isn't a loss. It's the goal.
If I'm doing this right, he should be better than me. At math, at life, at all of it. That's what this whole thing is about. I'm not raising a mini version of me. I'm raising someone who gets to start where I left off.
That hit different this week.
THIS WEEK IN TECH (referral link)
Polsia built a business for me… on its own
I gave Polsia a concept. A rough idea, barely a paragraph. And it came back with a business. Like an actual, structured, thought-through business — name, positioning, offer, the whole thing.
It was pretty mind blowing to see it all come together.
If you ever thought about launching a digital product, this is a great starting point.
It will even run paid Meta ads for you to drive traffic to the landing page it builds for you!
Reply back with your business links… I want to see them!
Since Polsia builds web apps (full-stack with Postgres, Stripe payments, hosting, and Meta Ads), here's what you can make:
Digital Products & Education
Online courses (like yours!)
Digital downloads / templates
Membership sites
SaaS tools & dashboards
Marketplaces & Directories
Job boards
Service directories
Listing platforms (real estate, rentals, etc.)
Freelancer marketplaces
E-Commerce (Digital)
Digital product stores
Subscription boxes (management side)
Booking/reservation platforms
Service Businesses
Consulting/agency sites with booking
Client portals
Lead-gen landing pages + funnels
Community & Content
Paid newsletters
Gated content platforms
Forum/community sites
Internal Tools & B2B
Admin dashboards
CRM-lite tools
Analytics platforms
Client-facing portals
What it can't do: Native mobile apps, anything requiring existing external repos, or platforms needing Instagram/LinkedIn automation.
Basically if it's a web-based business with payments, a database, and needs traffic, Polsia can build it, host it, process payments, and run ads for it.
Pretty wide range honestly.
Here’s a Good Question…
I asked our men’s circle this week to do the following:
Audit your relationships on paper today.
1) make a list of your circle
2) write down the things that need to be said to each person
3) rank the things that need to be said from most pressing to least urgent
4) have the conversations
5) check in here with wins & challenges
